Ang Bay-yo po ay isa sa mga maliit na barangay ng Municipality ng Bontoc. Napagitnaan po ng Talubin at Mt. Polis. Madadaanan po ninyo ang lugar na ito kung pupunta kayo ng Banaue, Ifugao via Bontoc.

Being an ebayyo is not just by blood but by actions. Act as an ebayyo,eat what they eat(habeng, inasin,pekaw, paku etc.), wear what they used to wear(tapis etc.), posses their principle, never forget their history, play their game(pattong, hagni), know its map. nasaan ka man, bayyo, baguio, manila, abroad o kahit saan mang dako, when you claim you belong in BAYYO then do it the EBAYYO style, never adopt foreign styles, never change as long as it is right or else your claim will never be accepted not by me but by BAYYO itself…Gawis ad bayyo not because i am an ebayyo but because it really is.

YES,Bayyo is great, nobody objects..but who knows tommorow might change..this is not a threat but we are anticipating what might happen especially that only old citizens are left in Bayyo…Sana man lang wag nating kalimutan na doon pa rin tayo nanggaling, we should help protect, preserve our own treasure…we should hold hands..CALLING all new generations of ebayyo to wake up, don’t be blind on what is happening to our native land, look at the mountains, the river, the rice terraces…they are all calling our attentions…just look then think, then act what you can do….Ebayyos are responsible enough….papayag ba tayong, masira ang kagandahan ng bayyo? of course not!.. Right beside and above it is elegantly carved terraces, unlike all the rest I have seen.
Their gardens are designed in lines and curves and circles that would almost resemble the mysterious crop circles in other parts of the world, only here in Bayyo they are done in a tiny scale.

you can hear the noise of chain saw from the mountain.. tram line was made to transport timbers from the mountain to the village, then market it in bontoc..and lastly forest fire.. -when i visit bay-yo (july and october 2009)= sad but true.. hope elders can do something about it..

I did post some images of Bayyo here in Israel and what a great feedback which i can’t reply some of all the good comments…Israelis love back packers and Nature lovers wanted to go and see the sceneric views of our native land.Always asking which travel tour agents that connects to this beautiful places,asking for more…Anyway, hope someday at anytime soon will be home with some of the friends…Miss you Bayyo!!
Hope and wish There could be a project for community purposely for Bayyo as so many Ibayyo abroad and local which i think willing to help and donates…matago-tago ka Bayyo

Hi HCS! I would like to get in touch with you regarding the proposed installation of mini hydro power plant in Brgy Bay-yo, Bontoc, Mt Province. The document was posted in this link: http://asiapaccapital.ca/public_html/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/AsiaPac_Interm_Report.pdf
Though the project was entitled Upper Talubin Mini-Hydro Power Plant, the location of the said project was in the heart of Brgy Bay-yo itself as depicted in the document’s surveys. Please, we need any help we could get to address the problem to the authorities. Thank you

IT’S EVEN A MINERAL WATER COMING RIGHT FROM THE ROOTS FROM THE TREES RIGHT UP ABOVE FROM THAT MOUNTAIN. HOW GRATEFUL WE ARE, BLESSED WITH UN-COMPARABLE RESOURCES. after reading all the comments about my beloved place, I felt an urge to share mine 2……I spent my whole 20 years existence here in bayyo and i was nurtured with the ways of life we have here, our cultures, tradition and our beliefs. I felt the hardships that the people were experiencing here just to preserve this place for the next coming generations. Youngs of BAYYO, this place is our legacy from our forefathers so we should take care of it as they did, we also should care the future of the coming generation. Its good that we embraced oneness and unity within us. Lets continue it!…lets delete the bad impressions of other people about us!

Bayyo is such a great place, and we are reliable to it, we need to give much care to it to maintain its beauty. Everyone is so proud but it would be shameful if we can’t preserve it. Being concern and proud to Bayyo is not bad but then we can’t deny the fact that even us ibays need to improve our character, suggestions of others are not bad as long as they aren’t humiliate us, some might sound insulting but if it is true we need to consider for our betterment. A great place won’t be great if the people living there aren’t responsible. Let us be proud of our place and where we came from but still, we may also have the humility within. GOD BLESS BAYYO and ALL IBAYS.

Bayyo . . . a place given for all to appreciate, locals, tourists, everyone. Behold its beauty and support the preservation of the village and rice terraces. I hope time will not come that no one tends anymore “to hamor . . . then ani” as modernization influences the ugali, the priorities of those who are residing outside of the place. Support the people and place however small or little ways it can be . . . MABUHAY BAYYO!
